Fused alumina-zirconia-yttria refractory materials having high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance which includes 10-60 wt% of zirconia and 0.05-7 wt% of yttria or rare earth minerals including yttria, which are produced by the process comprising adding and mixing zirconia and yttria or rare earth minerals including yttria to alumina materials, fusing the mixed materials in an electric arc furnace, cooling the fused materials to obtain an ingot, crushing the ingot and classifying the crushed materials.
