摘要

PURPOSE:To provide fused alumina-zirconia-yttria based fire proof material having excellent resistance to high-temperature and corrosion resistance and optimum as a sliding nozzle material used in a continuous casting device and producing method thereof. CONSTITUTION:The objective fused alumina-zirconia-yttria based refractory material obtained by adding 10-60wt.% zirconia and 0.05-7wt.% yttria or rare earth mineral containing yttria to alumina and melting and solidifying the mixture. One or two or more kind of compounds among CaO, MgO and TiO2 may be added thereto as a stabilizer for zirconia. The refractory material is preferably produced by adding a zirconia raw material and yttria raw material to an alumina raw material and mixing these components and melting the mixture in arc type electric furnace and then cooling the melt and powdering the resulting ingot and uniforming these particles.
