PURPOSE: To selectively express a desired polypeptide product in a eucaryotic cell. ;CONSTITUTION: This invention provides a method for constructing a recombinant DNA-expressing vector by isolating a sequence having a protecting function, a promotor function and a non-viral protein synthesissuppressing function in a eucaryotic cell and a translation activating function in a procaryotic cell from a virus, and inserting the resultant sequence into a suitable position in a recombinant DNA vector containing an enhancer sequence, and a method for selectively expressing a desired polypeptide product in both of the eucaryotic and procaryotic cells by using the vector.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
