Cam angle variator - varies rotary angle of cam in relation to camshaft for filling regulation in steam machine

The cam shaft, driven by the crankshaft, in turn drives a system of gearwheels. On one of the gearwheels are cams driven by the camshaft. By alteration of the position on one of the gearwheels (friction wheel), it is possible during drive to set up a satisfactory cam position in relation to the camshaft. With the arrangement, it is also possible to alter continuously the cam adjustment on the camshaft from outside the machine.
