Improvements to patent 9002378 for safety closure for lids of tumble-dryer drums

The improvements are applicable to the safety closure with which a cover 1 of the drum 2 of a tumble dryer 3 is equipped, this safety closure being achieved by means of a top cover 6 articulated on the edge opposite that of the hinge of the cover 1 in such a manner that the superposition and anchoring of this top cover 6 over the cover 1 gives rise to the locking of the latter in its closure position, accidental opening being made impossible without intentional action on and opening of the top cover 6. Said top cover 6 also has a band 10 in correspondence with its hinge 5, which holds the top cover, in the open position with respect to the cover 1, vertically vis-à-vis the latter in order that, in this open position, although said cover 1 of the drum is closed, it emerges above the worktop 11 of the tumble dryer 3, preventing closure of the cover 12 of the worktop in order to prevent starting-up of the tumble dryer 3.
