HUMAN COLON CANCER CELL-DERIVED FIBROBLAST ELONGATION FACTOR

摘要

The present invention provides a biologically pure factor designated 'FEF' comprising a protein capable of promoting or inducing elongation of fibroblasts. The factor is derivable from cancer cells and has an apparent molecular weight of from about 20 kDa to about 70 kDa. The present invention contemplates a method for inhibiting tumour cell proliferation and/or ameliorating large bowel obstruction by interfering with FEF-induced or enhanced elongation of fibroblasts.
