PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a procaryotic expression vector containing a gene capable of encoding a human hepatoma-derived growth factor(HDGF), a procaryotic cell transformed with the vector, a recombinant type human HDGF, prepared from the transformed procaryotic cell and having growth activities and an antibody capable of recognizing the human HDGF. ;SOLUTION: This recombinant type human hepatoma cell-derived growth factor protein undergoes the procaryotic expression and has growth activities. The protein is expressed by a procaryotic host cell containing an expression vector containing a DNA sequence capable of encoding the growth factor protein. Furthermore, the protein is a procaryotic expression vector containing the DNA sequence capable of encoding the human hepatoma cell-derived growth factor protein operably connected to a procaryotic promoter sequence. The antibody is capable of recognizing the human hepatoma-derived growth factor and reactive with a human hepatoma-derived growth factor prepared by purifying a culture supernatant of a human hepatoma-derived cultured cell HuH-7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
