VACCINE FOR THE PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT OF INFECTION OF LIVER FLUKE IN RUMINANTS

In the described vaccine, which is used for the preventive treatment of liver fluke infections in ruminants, the antigen consists of glutathione-S-transferase extracted from adult worms of F-hepatica. The antigen can also be constituted by equivalent synthetic molecules and by equivalent molecules prepared by recombinant DNA techniques. Methods of preparing and using such a vaccine are also described.
