In an arrangement for the pivotable mounting of lamellar plate elements (2) which form a wall or roof element and which can be swivelled parallel to one another on one side of the wall or roof element by an adjusting means (5) from a closed position to an open position, each plate element (2) is fixed on at least one supporting piece (3) which is connected to the adjusting means and each of which can be pivoted about a hinge (4), all the hinges (4) being situated in a common mounting plane. Upon actuation of the adjusting means (5), with the exception of the hinge (4a) of one plate element (2a) the hinges (4, 4b) of all other plate elements (2, 2b) can be moved within their mounting plane, and the size of the pivot angle ( alpha ) of the supporting pieces (3) can be set as a function of the size of the distances between the hinges (4, 4a, 4b) of successive plate elements (2), it being possible to vary the distances between a maximum distance ( alpha max) when the plate elements (2, 2a, 2b) are in the closed position and a minimum distance ( alpha min) when the plate elements (2, 2a, 2b) are in the open position and, on reaching their open position, all the plate elements (2) lie stacked next to one another with a maximum pivot angle ( alpha max), whereas they assume their minimum pivot angle ( alpha min) when occupying their closed position.
