The device serves to form regularly continuing edges on or in buildings, in particular drip- or water-guided edges in balconies, overhanging components, parapets and plaster or joint-boundary edges. It is characterised by an angle section strip (1) made of plastic which can be fixed to the building or building part when forming a building edge by means of knifing filler, plaster or the like. Said angle section strip comprises a first leg (2), which defines the building edge after the strip has been secured, and a second leg (3) extending transversely with respect to the first leg (2). This second leg (3) forms with the first leg (2) a strip edge (4) and is joined to a coarse-mesh latticework (5) which facilitates the strip fixing by means of knifing filler or plaster.
