The method prevents erosion of the graphite crucible in analyzing O/N in iron by an infrared absorption method and thermal conduction detecting method and comprises the following 8 steps: (1) machining a specimen by use of a lathe; (2) weighing 8.5-15 wt.% powder graphite and 10-30 wt.% metal Tin for the graphite crucible; (3) putting them in a crucible; (4) after weighing the specimen, inputting its weight to computer; (5) putting the crucible into an electrode furnace and heating to a high temperature; (6) analyzing; (7) lifting out the crucible; (8) after removing residual (Fe-Sn-C), recycling the crucible.
