An inflammable polymer foam cushion with a fireproof cover is made by costing fireproof elastic cloth with fireproof elastomer to seal it and make thin deformable sheets, lining the walls of a mould with the sheets and holding them in place by suction, and injecting polymer into the mould to form the foam. Seats, headrests, armrests, benches, and shock-absorbers made by the process are also claimed. The cloth is pref. of aromatic polyamide fibres coated with silicone.
