Thermoplastic mixts. (I) with Shore A hardness below 85 are claimed contg. (A) 50-99 wt. % TPU with Shore A hardness 80-95 main melting peak for hard segments 200-220 deg.C by DSC and MFI 0.1-100 g/10 mins. and (B) 1-50 wt. % EVA copolymer with vinyl acetate (VA) content 78-95 wt. %. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I) by mixing the components in the melt. Specifically, (I) contain 60-80 wt. % TPU and 20-40 wt. % EVA, the main melting peak for the hard segments in the TPU is at 210-218 deg.C and the TPU has MFI = 0.5-50g/10 mins. the EVA copolymer contains 80-85 wt. % VA. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are useful for the prodn. of mouldings and film (claimed). The invention provides soft, elastic materials with a good balance of properties (processability, strength, elongation, wear resistance, resistance to fuel and lubricants, etc) which are useful for the prodn. of e.g. door, window and lip seals, tubing and film.
