Appts. comprises a stepped hole in each of the two plates, the narrower dia. of each hole facing each other and having a keyhole shaped cut out through which a clamping bolt is inserted. The clamping bolt has a key type shoulder at one end and a head with a recess for a hexagonal tightening key. A shaft between both ends passes through the reduced dia. hole and centralises the holes in both plates. When the bolt is rotated the rear face of the shoulder engages on a circumferentially inclined surface in the region of the step in the bore of the second plate and the head is supported on the step in the bore of the first plate. The centralising bores may be machined in the plates or in special bushes inserted into the plates. USE/ADVANTAGE - Injection moulding.
