An arrangement for regulating slippage on textile spindles in ring spinning machines and ring twisters, incorporates an asychronous motor associated with every spindle, a frequency transverter feeding the motor and a central computer, which controls the frequency transverter for adjusting the spindle speed. Each spindle is associated with an electronic unit coupled to the computer for the display of a stationary spindle and with a pulse emitter coupled to the computer. The computer registers, in a first cycle, the speeds of all running textile packages sequentially through counting the pulses emitted per time unit by the pulse emitter, it stores the speeds provided they lie in a pre-set tolerance range. In a second cycle, a computer registers the average speed of all the running spindles with reference to the stored speed values. ADVANTAGE - The slippage is regulated reliably with a high degree of precision.
