Fluidised eddy material (2) is placed in an eddy bed drier (1) and contains material in a wet state for drying. Eddy gas (3) is heated via a heat exchanger, and distributed via a distributor floor (1a) into the drier. Through a filter (1b), eddy gas (5) and solvent vapour leave the drier. Entry of the product to be dried into the eddy bed drier, and withdrawal of the dried product occur via pipe conduits and known conveyor components (6,7). The eddy bed drier is arranged in an installation (8) for prodn. of a high frequency field by which the wet product is dried by dielectric heat. USE - To dry temp.-sensitive wet material.
