The traffic light system has a connection to an inductive loop antenna that generates an output to switch off the engine and then effect a restart when the lights change. The vehicle has a magnetic disc (a) on a wheel that maintains an induced signal in a coil (b) coupled to a relay (1). When the vehicles ceases to move the relay (1) responds and the ignition circuit relay (2) is blocked. When the lights change to green the starter is enabled via the generator and the engine is restarted. ADVANTAGE - Protects against unnecessary engine emissions. Saves fuel.
