A measurement arrangement contains a measurement sensor (2) and a device for acquiring and indicating the measurement values. The measurement sensor is mounted to be movable in two mutually perpendicular directions along corresp. guide arrangements (5-9) and has a measurement transducer (3, 4) for both directions. The sensor is mounted on a guide rod (7) whose free end interacts with the first transducer (3) and is mounted to be transversely movable in or on a second guide rod (9) which interacts with the second transducer (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for measuring machine tools, enables measurement in plane rather than only in line and during operation rather than only during adjustment.
