Control method for inverter with induction machine - varying torque generating demand value with ripple on DC intermediate circuit voltage

The method of controlling an inverter connected on the d.c. side to a d.c. intermediate stage and on the a.c. side to an induction machine involves varying the torque generating demand value component (Msoll) defined by a controller depending on the ripple of the d.c. intermediate circuit voltage (Ud(t)). The ripple on the voltage is determined by forming the quotient of its instantaneous and average values. The torque generating demand value component (Msoll) is multiplied by the quotient when the induction machine is being driven. ADVANTAGE - Enables reduction of constant power of inverter drive system.
