The vehicle has pressure sensor switches on each seat. These switches (25,26,27,28) are connected to the central locking circuit in such a way that the circuit cannot lock the door locks from the outside if any seat is occupied. The pressure levels in the switches is set to ignore small luggage items, but is sensitive enough to detect small children. This prevents children being locked into the vehicle.
