Device determining workpiece position w.r.t. tool spindle axis - has rings of LCD elements activated by counter of incremental movements of feeler probing bore eccentricity
The centring device (1) has a cylindrical housing (2) surmounted by a coaxial pin (7) for fixing to the tool spindle. The eccentricity of a bore into the workpiece is measured by a device under the housing (2) with a feeler (21) clamped (22) to a bar (23) adjustable between two blocks (24,25). Each indicating ring (16a-16v) carries a number of liq. crystal display elements (19) in parallel. An incremental counter (35) feeds a processing circuit signalling the eccentricity by selective excitation of rings. USE/ADVANTAGE - For coaxial drilling into cylindrical workpeices, simplified centring arrangement is associated with easily legible indicator.
