The appts. includes a machine table which has a cross-table (K) for at least two coordinates placed on it with a distance measurement device for each coordinate. A working connection can be made between the spindle to be adjusted and the cross-table using a coupling element (Z). The spindle (Sp) can be adjusted wrt. the geometry of workpiece according to the measurement values from the distance measurement devices. A mechanical coupling can be made between the spindle and the cross-table. The cross-table can have a vertical guide with a measurement device for a third coordinate direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - For adjusting a spindle relative to a table carrying workpieces on a workpiece processing machine. Easy to operate and enables rapid, precise adjustment.
