Red phosphor (I) for slow electron radiation is based on (Cd, Zn)S:Ag and also contains 5-25g In2O3, Fe2O3 or SnO2 as conductive material (II), 0.3-2.5g nitrocellulose (IIIA) or ethylcellulose (IIIB) as binder, 10-100ml n-butyl acetate (IV) as hardener and 30-300ml alcohol or acetone (VA) as dispersant (V) per 100g (I). USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) is claimed for use in phosphor display tubes. These include fluorescent vacuum displays, e.g. for use in vehicles or as clock displays. (I) have optimum adhesion to conductive material and hence give a red colour with high brightness. (6pp Dwg.No.0/2)
