The rotary-piston engine has two pistons (4,5) coupled directly to the driving shaft (3) and controlled by two regulators (6,7). Combustion takes place between the left surface of the top piston (4) and the inside surface of the top regulator (6), while the intake, compression and exhaust strokes are effected by the two pistons inside the semicircular cylinders (8,9), under control of a crown wheel (10) coupled to the shaft, meshing with top and bottom gears (11,12) coupled to the regulators. The top regular allows the top piston with the compressed-gas mixture thrust before it to enter its open side, and is then turned with the piston inside through 180d eg, so that the piston can pass out again. The bottom regulator similarly turns through 180 deg. to allow passage of the bottom piston. The regulators form partitions between the cylinders. After the working stroke the piston (5) draws the mixture into the cylinder behind it. Compression is continued in this cylidner by the piston (4), while the front of the piston (5) ends discharge of the exhaust gas from the cylinder (8). The crown wheel also controls opening and shutting of the inlet and outlet valves (15,16) and ignition in the combustion chamber. ADVANTAGE - Compact, light in weight, long life and low fuel consumption.
