In order to optimize the behaviour of a conventional private car on icy surfaces or grounds covered with snow, the drive axle of said vehicle is provided with tyres whose treads (1) have relief elements (11) presenting incisions (14) of a certain width and whose designs are transverse, while the supporting axle of the same vehicle is fitted with tyres of the same structure but with treads (2, 3) provided with relief elements or blocks (21, 31) provided with incisions (24, 34) of a certain width and whose designs are elliptic.
