The apparatus has a wheeled chassis 8 with detachable wheels 10 and can be used to pick up and transport differing sizes of paving stones, patio slabs and precisely positions the slab without any strain to the operator. The slab is held secure by a pair of pivoting cantilever arms 12 with adjustable teeth 14. Releasing the slab is afforded by operating a latching lever 8, via a cable 18, thus raising the pivoting cantilever arms 12 away from the slab. IMAGE
