RESIN COATED STEEL PLATE EXCELLENT IN PAINTABILITY, CORROSION RESISTANCE, CHEMICAL RESISTANCE AND SCRATCH RESISTANCE AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a resin coated steel plate excellent in paintability and corrosion resistance by forming a resin based on an ethylene copolymer resin specified in its composition and incorporating a specific amount of silica particles to the surface of a steel plate in a specific film adhesion amount. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a steel plate is coated with water-soluble or water-dispersible resin paint based on an ethylene copolymer resin containing 5 - 40wt.% of ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and containing 5 - 30wt.% of silica particles and dried to form a resin film to the surface of the steel plate in a film adhesion amount of 0.2 - 2.5g/m2. Or, a water-soluble or water- dispersible resin paint based on the ethylene copolymer resin containing 5 - 40wt.% of ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and containing 5 - 30wt.% of silica particles and 1 - 30 wt.% of an org. compound having a aziridinyl group is applied to the surface of the steel plate and dried to form a resin film to the surface of the steel plate in a film adhesion amount of 0.10 - 2.5g/m2.
