PURPOSE:To provide a monoclonal antibody having specificity to wheat alpha- amylase-inhibiting protein originated from wheat and useful as an effective tool for investigation of behavior of alpha-amylase-inhibiting protein in sprouting. CONSTITUTION:A mouse is immunized with wheat alpha-amylase-inhibiting protein originated from wheat and having a molecular weight of 19,641. A spleen cell collected from the mouse is fused with a myeloma cell of an animal to obtain hybridoma cell HAENAI-1, HAENAI-2, HAENAI-3 or HAENAI-4, from which 4 kinds of monoclonal antibodies, i.e. AENAI-1, AENAI-2, AENAI-3 and AENAI-4 can be produced. These antibodies belong to immunoglobulin class IgG2a, IgG2b or IgM.
