METHOD FOR MEASURING ECCENTRICITY OF HORIZONTAL EXTRUSION PRESS AND CORE-MEASURING JIG USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To easily measure an eccentricity of a horizontal extrusion press and to easily correct the eccentricity. ;CONSTITUTION: A contact type core measuring jig 12 is set to the tip of a stem 2 to insert the stem 2 into a container 8 and a relative eccentricity of a container core to the stem core is measured. An absolute eccentricity of a stem core to a machine center is measured by a linear gauge 11 mounted on the surface of a main ram 1 the absolute eccentricity of the stem core is subtracted from a relative eccentricity of a container core to the stem core to obtain the absolute eccentricity of the container core. The position of the stem core and/or that of the container core are/is corrected in accordance with the respective absolute eccenticities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
