PURPOSE:To make optimum engine speed control performable without performing fine adjustment for a wheel as well as to dispense with the adjustment of a control part in response to a manufacturing error, by installing a feedback compensation control system additionally in position between a main engine and a program-controlled engine. CONSTITUTION:With a sizing relationship between a feedback signal S3 equiva lent to the actual engine speed of a main engine E and a governor command signal S2, a deviation signal S7 or output of a first operational unit 7 comes to positive or negative. This deviation signal S7 is integrated at an integrator, and according to its integration signal S8, a compensation signal S9 out of a limiter 9 comes to positive or negative as well. This compensation signal S9 is added or subtracted to or from the governor command signal S2 at a second operational unit 10, and fine adjustment for a governor G takes place as a command signal S10. When the deviation signal S7 comes to zero, the integration signal S8 comes to a constant value whereby the command signal S10 to the governor G from the second operational unit 10 is also kept to a value at that time.
