BISMUTH-LEAD-TELLURIUM MULTIPLE OXIDE SOLID SOLUTION WITH DEFECTIVE FLUORITE-TYPE SUPERLATTICE STRUCTURE, PRODUCTION THEREOF AND OXYGEN SUPERIONIC CONDUCTING MATERIAL CONSISTING OF THE SAME SOLID SOLUTION
PURPOSE:To obtain the title solid solution capable of stable actuation even at relatively low temperatures as an oxygen superionic conducting material by formulating, so as to be a specified ratio in the constituent metal atoms, the corresponding oxides and by calcination of the resultant mixture in an oxidative atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, oxides or compounds capable of forming said oxides by heating are formulated so as to be a ratio in the corresponding constituent metal atoms given by formula I (X is 1.0-1.5). Thence, the resultant mixture is calcined in an oxidative atmosphere, thus obtaining the objective solid solution. Said defective fluorite-type oxide is given by formula II (M is rare earth element, Te, Nb, W, etc.; X is 0.1-0.5; y is 0-0.17), having such disadvantages as to be instable at relatively low temperatures (e.g., 500 deg.C) and decomposed after heating for several tens hours. On the other hand, said multiple oxide is composed of rhombic lattices where rectangular parallelopiped made by cumulating 4 unit lattices of defective fluorite-type structure on one side and two on other two sides represents unit lattice.
