METHOD FOR APPLYING WATER-SOLUBLE RUST-PREVENTIVE OIL TO STEEL MATERIAL

PURPOSE: To achieve the shortening of an oily film forming time and the uniform coating of an oily film at the time of the application of water-soluble rust-preventive oil to the surface of a steel material, to form a uniform coating state by removing the excessive oil bonded to the surface of the steel material and to recover and reuse the excessive oil. ;CONSTITUTION: A steel material 3 is preheated to 30-50°C in the preheating furnace 4 of a coating apparatus 1 and water-soluble rust-preventive oil is applied to the steel material under a high pressure of 15-70kg/cm² in the coating booth 8 of the spray chamber 5 of the coating apparatus 1 and, thereafter, compressed air of 3kg/cm² or more is sprayed to the steel material in the oil drain booth 10 of the spray chamber 5 to remove the excessively applied rust- preventive oil to uniformize the coating amount of the rust-preventive oil on the surface of the steel material. The spraying of compressed air in the oil drain chamber 10 is performed corresponding to the size of the steel material by changing the position of a compressed air jet nozzle by tilting a support part.
