PURPOSE:To provide a new human tooth precementum derived cell growth factor(PCDGF) and to treat and prevent periodontosis such as pyorrhea alveolaris, etc. CONSTITUTION:A human tooth precementum derived cell growth factor(PCDGF) having the following properties. (1) Molecular weight (by gel filtration method): 75,000+ or -5,000. (2) Isoelectric point (6.5+ or -1.0). (3) Thermostability: not being deactivated by heat treatment at 60 deg.C for 30 minutes. (4) Stability to enzyme: being deactivated by protease treatment. (5) Physiological action: having chemoattractive rotency on gingiva fibroblast. The human tooth precementum derived cell growth factor is produced by immersing human tooth precementum in sodium chloride injection while stirring while stirring and collecting the human tooth precementum derived cell growth factor from a sodium chloride injection fraction by molecular weight fractionation operation.
