BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF TYPHULA SNOW BLIGHT USING ANTAGONISTIC MICROORGANISM, CULTIVATION OF THE MICROORGANISM AND METHOD FOR PROMOTING THE ANTAGONISTIC ACTION

PURPOSE: To provide a method for the biological control of typhula snow blight of pasture, winter-type wheat, lawn, etc., in snowy area by using an antagonistic microorganism, to provide a method for the cultivation of the microorganism and to provide a method for promoting the antagonistic action. ;CONSTITUTION: One or more microbial strains of Typhula phacorrhiza exhibiting antagonistic action on typhula snow blight are applied to a crop to control the typhula snow blight. The antagonistic strain exhibiting antagonistic action on typhula snow blight can be proliferated in a mass by culturing the strain in a wheat-bran vermiculite medium. The antagonistic action of the antagonistic strain can be promoted by adding powder of rice straw and withered leaf in the treatment of the typhula snow blight with the antagonistic microorganism.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
