BUS HANG-UP AVOIDING METHOD

摘要

PURPOSE:To avoid the hang-up state of an SCSI bus by transmitting an abort message to a target device when an initiator accepts invalid reselection from the target device. CONSTITUTION:In request to the invalid reselection, initiators 1 and 2 issue attention, request message out phase and accept the reselection and when the phase shown by target devices 3 and 4 is the message out phase, the initiators 1 and 2 output the abort message so as to inform it of the target devices 3 and 4 to stop processings. While responding to this information, the target devices 3 and 4 open an SCSI bus 5 and when the phase is not the message out phase, dummy data are exchanged between the target devices 3 and 4 by the initiators 1 and 2. Then, the change of the phase into a message phase or a bus free phase is waited.
