EXPLOSIVE PROLIFERATION OF MICROALGAE UTILIZING OPTICAL BIOCONVERTER AND WARM SEA CURRENT SUCH AS KUROSHIO

PURPOSE: To provide a method for persistently improving the global environment capable of actively improving the environment without giving influence on industry and achieving the object in a short time in contrast to conventional processes having the problems of the need for impracticably enormous money, the influence on industry and the long time necessary for achieving the object. ;CONSTITUTION: Microalgae growing in seawater are cultured by an optical bioconverter to form an algae suspension having a concentration of about 0.3-5% in terms of dry material. The suspension is diluted with seawater to a concentration of about 10^-6% in terms of dry material and the diluted suspension is discharged into a warm sea current such as Kuroshio (Japan Current) to effect the cultivation and proliferation of the microalgae in the warm sea current.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
