PURPOSE:To provide an interactive dictionary constructing device capable of registering detailed accurate information based upon interaction with a user without requiring experience. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of an input part 11, a display part 13, a dictionary part 15, a question forming part 17, and an interaction part 19. When a user operates the input part 11, the input part 11 receives information. The display part 13 displays necessary question information. The question forming part 17 forms a question to be required for interaction displayed on the display part 13. The interaction part 19 determines the attributes of an unknown word inputted from the input part 11 based upon a question/answer applied from the input part 11 which corresponds to the display information displayed on the display part 13. The dictionary part 15 stores the unknown word and its attribute determined by the interaction part 19 as the data of natural language. Consequently dictionary registration can be interactively attained and finely sorted parts of speech, meanings and translations can be registered in the dictionary part 15.
