PURPOSE: To enable the improvement of critical current at a weakly coupled part and its control by radiating electromagnetic waves of wavelength equivalent to the energy gap of a high-temperature superconductor to the weakly coupled part of the high-temperature superconductor. ;CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic waves 6 at a Josephson junction 1 becomes a maximum value by interrupting the electromagnetic waves 6 from an electromagnetic wave radiation means 4 with a changeover controller 3, and it gets in ON condition where a superconductive current flows to the junction 1. At this time, there is no electron loss in the Josephson junction 1, and a current of large capacity flows from a power source 7 to load 8 by the amplification of a critical current. Next, when electromagnetic waves are applied to the Josephson junction 1, with the changeover controller 3 changed over, the critical current at the Josephson junction 1 becomes zero, and it changes over into the OFF condition where the superconductive current does not flow.
