PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thermal runaway of a high-temperature superconducting permanent current switch and prevent burning of a high-temperature superconducting wire even when the high-temperature superconducting permanent current switch is quenched.SOLUTION: There is provided a high-temperature superconducting permanent current switch 50 having a co-wound coil 11 co-wound with a high-temperature superconducting wire 1 and a heater wire material 8.
