CATV SYSTEM AND AMPLIFIER FOR CATV USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To decrease production of front ghost and to suppress deterioration in the distortion characteristic by using an amplifier connecting to a subscriber of the CATV system so as to increase an output level of a retransmission signal and sending the resulting signal. CONSTITUTION:In this CATV system in which a head end 1 sends a radio wave from a TV station again and other signals are sent through a coaxial cable in a way of multi-channel, an output level of the re-transmission signal is increased more than an output level of the other signals by an amplifier (trunk line branch amplifier 4 and distribution amplifier 5) supplying a signal to a subscriber of amplifiers 4-5 after a trunk line of the CATV system for the transmission of the signal. Moreover, the amplifier section supplying the signal to subscribers of the amplifiers 4, 5 is provided with a re-transmission signal level correction circuit 9. Thus, a level difference between the re- transmission signal and an invaded wave is increased regardless of the multi- channel transmission to reduce front ghost.
