PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uplink signal band control method for limiting an uplink signal band without affecting a cable communication system, to provide a streamed noise check method, to provide an uplink signal band control device, and to provide a bidirectional CATV system. PSOLUTION: A frequency band of an uplink signal is divided into a high frequency band and a low frequency band, and the uplink signal of the low frequency band can be disabled during uplink signal transmission of the high frequency band. The uplink signal of the low frequency band is disabled during uplink signal transmission of the high frequency band, and then a route of the uplink streamed noise is predetermined by confirming the uplink streamed noise level.
