KNITTING BY FLAT KNITTING MACHINE CAPABLE OF PREVENTING FRAY OF FASTENING THREAD OF COLLAR AND SLEEVE

PURPOSE: To obtain knit fabric free from fray of a fastening thread even in after processings after dyeing by knitting a tubular plain stitch part and a stitch-extraction part in a specified state while fastening the body part, the tubular plain stitch part and the stitch-extraction part. ;CONSTITUTION: Knitting is carried out while a body part 2, a tubular plain stitch part 3 and a stitch-extraction part 4 are fastened. In knitting the tubular plain stitch part, after a knit part 3₁ is knitted either by a front needle or by a back needle, another knit part 3₂ is knitted by the other needle. When knitting the stitch-extraction part, the thread used for knitting up to this time is made idle and used as a fastening thread and, the extracted thread is bound to the needle lastly used in knitting the tubular plain stitch part. Knitting is continued in succession to the last stitch of the tubular plain stitch part by the extracted thread in knitting of next stitch-extraction part while the fastening thread 5 in an idle state is kept in a state of a low degree of freedom.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
