PROBLEM SOLUTION SYSTEM BY HYPOTHESIS INFERENCE

PURPOSE: To infer a hypothesis at high speed by eliminating an environment set so as to update a label if the environment set exceeds a prescribed length when the label being the set of the environment set is updated so as to infer the hypothesis. ;CONSTITUTION: Environments belonging to the labels of respective nodes xi are extracted one by one and the merged set is calculated. Only the set whose number of elements is less than a restricted value is added to the original label of the node (n). Then, it is compared with a no good label so as to ensure the non-contradiction of environment appearing in the label. Furthermore, environments are mutually compared so as to ensure a minimum characteristic. The label of (n) which is updated is furthermore propagated. The safety of the label which is lost owing to the alteration of a function so that a user can designate and restrict the label length of the node and owing to keep high speed is made up by using a horn node theorem proof unit together.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
