PURPOSE: To require no chemical grouting and to enable the reconstructional widening of a tunnel even if there is deformation in a segment or a discrepancy in a joining section between segments. ;CONSTITUTION: An external layer member 12 such as motar, etc., laminated on the outside of a new or on existing primary tunnel 10 is recut by a doughnut- shaped cutter 31 of a shield excavator 60.
