PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of stable dispersion in beverages such as coffee or tea without impairing their eating feel by formulating moonflower powder with creaming syrup. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by formulating (1) moonflower powder (42 mesh passable, =80 mesh in mean size, pref. with viable cell number of =5X103/g, negative to Escherichia coli and Salmonella) prepared by pulverizing unbleached moonflower dry product with (2) creaming syrup (a liquid condensate or dry powder of defatted powdered milk, total powdered milk, or vegetable fat from, e.g., corns). The amount of the moonflower to be added is =1.1 pts.wt. per pt.wt. of creaming syrup (on a powder basis). In case the creaming syrup is to be used in the form of a liquid condensate, the amount of the moonflower to be added should be regulated according to its degree of condensation.
