Crosslinkable mixtures of recycled rubber granules and rubber, where the rubber is dissolved in oil. The invention enables effective and economical recycling of waste rubber. Rubber/oil mixtures based on trans-polyoctenamer and paraffinic mineral oil are preferred. The crosslinkable mixtures according to the invention are highly suitable for compression moulding since substantially plastic flow during processing ensures optimum bonding of the granule particles to one another. Vulcanisates prepared in this way have a good mechanical and elastic property profile.
