The "157-K x C-3080" hybrid and the reverse hybrid are used for spring worm feeding. It is derived annually through cross-breeding "157-K" and "C-3080" breeds in both directions. The hybrid combination "157-K x C-3080" derives white-coloured worms of both genders and snow-white oval-ellipsoid cocoons. It is genetically marked in type of gender in the larva phase and worms can have two types of coloration - speckled, if female, and white, if male. The cocoons are white, oval-to-ellipsoid, big and of high silk output. The eggs and the derived breeds - in either combination of the hybrid - are grey-ashy with a dark nuance, sticking and non-sticking in egg output. The genetic marking of the "C-3080" breed allows for a further segregated gender breeding to derive single-gender cocoon shipments.
