The strength, repeated bending behavior, metallizability and corrosion resistance of an Fe-Ni-Co alloy for use in IC lead frames are improved by controlling the content of each element so as to meet the requirements: 63.5 % « 2Ni + Co + Mn « 65 % when Co 10% and 69.5 % « 2Ni + Co + Mn « 74.5 % when Co » 10 %, reducing the content of each of C, S, Si, N, P, Cr and H, and suitably selecting the conditions of Mo addition and cold rolling/annealing.
