One of the supported claws (16a) of the windscreen wiper blade possesses a branch (18) formed by two sections (26, 27) connected by an additional hinge (19). The branch (18) is situated immediately opposite that branch of the supporting claw (15a) to which the supported claw (16a) is attached. That section (26) of the hinged branch (18) by which the supported claw (16a) is connected to the supporting claw (15a) is stressed by an elastic means (21) towards that branch of the supporting claw (15a) to which the supported claw (16a) is attached. The supported claw (16a) is preferably the secondary claw of the windscreen wiper blade situated towards the outer end of the blade in such a way as to accommodate the curvature of a window such as a vehicle windscreen.
