The use of a wheel slip control with automatic differential lock or brake engagement on the spinning wheel can generate a moment on the steering wheel on vehicles with driven front axle. This moment may come as a surprise to the driver and lead to a departure from the desired direction of travel. In order to prevent this, a sensor on the steering wheel monitors whether the use of the limited slip differential or the vehicle brake is generating a moment on the steering wheel and if this is the case the engagement of the differential and/or the application of the brake is reduced again.
